An analysis of the meter of OutKast’s “Hey Ya!”
I originally posted something like this about a year ago. I noticed from my logs that about 45 people each month come here looking for my old analysis of the song, which has since been deleted because I changed blog software. Oops.

I took a bunch of video of Jimin Kang today (requires QuickTime, but you should have that anyway) for the Star-Gazette. She is a 25-year-old LPGA golfer who snuck up from behind to win the Corning Classic on Sunday.
She was in the group that preceded defending champion Annika Sorenstam’s group. She was paired with Meena Lee and Dorothy Delasin. I was committed to seeing how both groups fared on the 13th, 15th, and 18th holes.
As I walked from the 13th hole to the fifteenth hole, I heard tremendous cheering (more…)

My friend Sarah from work went to Vegas with her brother, Fred, and their family. I gave her $20 and told her to go to the roulette wheel and bet it on red. (I brought my lunch or ate provided food for a while to compensate, so don’t nag me, mom…) (more…)

I played Texas Hold’em for the first time, with some friends and friends of friends.
