Chapter 1
I don’t post about things that happen at work. They know I blog. People that blog about their jobs often find themselves without jobs.
But there are other jobs I no longer have. I can’t be fired from these jobs. So I will blog about them.
Since it has been many years, I can say that what I write is based on a true story with names changed to protect the guilty. It could be modified a bit from the original, especially for the benefit of humor. Any similarities to people living or dead are purely intentional. But since things are exaggerated a bit anyway, it’s all in humor. If you stumble upon this blog and think I am poking fun at your mistakes, you could be correct, but remember that I’m not naming your name, and have no ill will towards you. I just thought that a decision you made many years ago was a mistake that would be funny to read about. If you think it is a cheap shot, I apologize. You can also blog about what a loser I was six years ago, if that makes you feel better. I won’t argue with your assertions. Just remember that present-day stuff is off limits. I’m not seeking you out and ridiculing you at your present job, and I expect you not to do the same.
Plus, by the time enough stories have come out, it will be clear that the person I am writing about, Mr. Brilliant, is an amalgam of people I met. Including myself. (If anyone remembers my mistakes, it’s me.)
This is not a game industry tell-all blog, either. (If you are looking for that, go read FatBabies).
And so begins Chapter 1 of “Run Away: Co-workers worth quitting over.”
